Dr Brend is an Australian-qualified specialist Paediatric Surgeon. 

He is an Irish-born and trained paediatric surgeon dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate surgical care to babies, children and adolescents across North Queensland. Having completed extensive training in Ireland, Australia and the United Kingdom, he brings world-class expertise closer to home, ensuring families can access specialist care without unnecessary travel. His areas of expertise include neonatal and general paediatric surgery, with specialised fellowship training in thoracic, upper gastrointestinal and minimally invasive surgery and endoscopy.
